A conference that calls itself global should not require most of the world to conform to one country's business hours.

HealthDataCon 2026 is built as a relay, not a marathon. From October 15 into October 16, live programming moves across three global regions, creating a continuous international exchange around shared challenges: data, intelligence, informatics, technology and impact.

Regional voices lead conversations about the realities of their own health systems. Cross-regional handoffs and global plenaries connect the whole. No region is treated merely as an audience for U.S.-centric content.

Global participation is part of the architecture — not an add-on.

Help build a conference that follows the sun.

Fellows of the American College of Health Data Management are invited to help shape the inaugural program with individual presentations or panel discussions — and to bring forward perspectives, colleagues and issues from the regions where they live and work.

What we are seeking

Timely, substantive and practical proposals grounded in expertise, experience, evidence and meaningful lessons. Strong sessions may address implementation experience, emerging developments, measurable impact, comparative international perspectives, unresolved challenges or important questions the field must confront next.

Formats

  • Individual presentation — a focused presentation led by one or more subject-matter experts.
  • Panel discussion — a moderated discussion bringing together complementary or differing perspectives around a clearly defined issue.

2026 and the larger 2027 event

HealthDataCon 2026 is the inaugural proving ground for a larger, multi-day international HealthDataCon planned for the first half of 2027. Strong proposals that cannot be accommodated in 2026 may be carried forward for 2027.

Common questions.

What does "follows the sun" actually mean?

Live programming moves across three regional blocks over 24 continuous hours — the Americas, then Asia-Pacific, then Europe / Middle East / Africa. Each region receives meaningful programming during reasonable local hours. Blocks overlap at handoff for cross-regional plenaries.

Do I need to attend all 24 hours?

No. HealthDataCon is designed as a relay for the community — not a marathon for any one attendee. Join during your regional block, drop in for global plenaries at handoffs, and access on-demand replays after the event.

How much does it cost?

Complimentary for ACHDM Fellows on or before October 15, 2026. International registration for non-Fellows will open with pricing announced alongside the program.

Can vendors present?

Industry experts are welcome when educational value clearly outweighs promotion. Commercial sales presentations are not selected. Editorial independence is protected across every session.

What if my session doesn't fit the 24-hour 2026 program?

Strong proposals that cannot be accommodated in 2026 may be carried forward for consideration as the expanded 2027 multi-day international HealthDataCon program is developed.

How do I recommend a speaker from my region?

Submit a proposal via the Call for Proposals section and identify the speaker(s), their role, organization and country / region. Fellows are especially encouraged to bring forward colleagues from the regions where they live and work.
